Well, Jerry Mitchell and Alexander Dinelaris sure know how to create a winning musical on Broadway! I wanted to get on my feet from the very start and could not help dancing in my seat. If you love the music of Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, and you love incredible salsa dancing, you won’t be able to stop dancing in your seat.
The story tells of how Gloria Estefan became a singer and songwriting legend. There are things revealed that you might not know and I won’t spoil them here.
I grew up listening to Gloria Estefan and adore her music, and the incredibly talented cast of dancers and singers are outstanding. Ana Villafane was in fine voice and got down the vocal chops of Gloria and had some energetic and impressive dance moves!
Sergio Trujillo for the authentic salsa choreography and to Jerry Mitchell for the fabulous direction. Alexander Dinelaris put together an incredible book and kept the plot moving to the beat of Gloria Estefan’s exciting music. The show and rhythm are in sync with Estefan.
Shout out to the incredible dancer Kevin Tellez, who played young Emilio and was adorable and stood out as an amazing dancer at such a young age. You could not take your eyes off his dance moves.
As someone who adores salsa and Latin music and dance, I was googly-eyed by this perfect production. I didn’t want the night to end; it was so entertaining, and the energy of the incredible ensemble made me want to conga all the way home!
Congratulations to everyone involved in this perfect evening at the Theater.
Shout out to the entire ensemble of the show. I was blown away by your energy, talent and enthusiasm! I was blown away by the entire production. Dance lovers will be very entertained.
