Review: The Peanuts Movie.

fifi

Meet Fifi, Snoopy’s fantasy pooch played by Kristin Chenoweth. First she plays a pink frog in Rio 2 and now a pink pooch named Fifi. Got to love that!

My favorite cartoon has always been The Peanuts gang. This week they are releasing a 3D Peanuts film by 20th Century Fox.

The Peanuts Movie. Blue Sky animation. Blue Sky always makes beautiful movies.

Need a movie to take the children to see? I saw a screening of the film on Monday, and it is perfect for children of all ages. I would say 3 and up. Charlie Brown, the child who is bullied and made fun of, gets dance lessons from his adorable and cool (Joe Cool) puppy Snoopy. Snoopy shows him how to dance well so he can win the heart of the beautiful new little red haired girl next door. Charlie does not have confidence and Snoopy prepares him to impress the girl of his dreams. There is also another back story of Snoopy dreaming about being a war hero (The Flying Ace) and saving his fantasy pooch voiced by the one and only Kristin Chenoweth, who played a pink nontoxic frog in Rio 2. She has a small role in the film, but it is adorable. The film like the original Charles Schulz comic has tons of heart, and it is a must see for young children. If you were a fan of the comics and Christmas specials, you might enjoy it more than the kids. I was laughing harder than anyone at my screening. It is charming and sweet, and I felt like a child again. The film opens in theaters on Friday.

I do wish there was a Peanuts movie of just Snoopy and Woodstock. They are the most interesting characters.

This clip made me smile. Would love to see adults dance like this.
