Truman Capote wrote a short story which was turned into an Off Broadway musical at the Irish Rep. The show is a charming, feel good family musical that has potential for greatness, It is currently playing Off Broadway at the DR2 theater while construction is being done at Irish Rep. This show is sweet, old fashioned and the cast, including Alice Ripley as snook shine. The stage seems crammed and small for this musical and it feels as if this is just the start of what could with some TLC turn into a bigger production on a bigger stage. The show deserves more and so does the incredible cast. It will make you crave fruitcake.
If you are looking for a sentimental holiday show this is for you. I was charmed. The story is about a boy named Buddy and his Aunt Snook and the bond they have.

Loved the music by Larry Grossman and the lyrics by Carol Hall. Hoping this musical will be expanded and taken to the next level.
