THE PLAY THAT WENT WRONG.

THE PLAY THAT WENT WRONG.

The afternoon started with thunder and lightning storms so terrible it looked like the World as we knew it was coming to an end. Just as it was time to travel to the theater, the sun came out and the skies cleared.

Unlike the weather, this play went terribly wrong. A good farce is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. This play is a physical comedy, and you will either love it or roll your eyes and look at your watch. If you like a silly farce, you might enjoy watching the actors destroy a set.

The play tries to be a clever farce in the realm of “Noises Off” this show is all about talent free actors putting on a terrible play with exploding sets. The cast even makes fun of the audience before the play begins. One of the male leads made fun of my hat not realizing I was wearing it to cover up my head from surgery. I didn’t say anything. I adore a good farce, but this show was funny for the first hour, and then it got old fast!

This is not in the league of ” Noises Off, ” but it was worth seeing as the talented cast tried their best and you can’t help but chuckle when everything blows up, including my temper when a cast member made fun of my furry hat.

Two stars out of five.
