I have interviewed Norm Lewis mostly at Rockers on Broadway and other cabaret events. I first saw him in Dessa Rose at Lincoln Center, Philip Rinaldi invited me and I knew Norm was a star! He blew the house down last night at 54 Below. Some of the numbers were ‘Summertime’ from Porgy and Bess. ‘CORNER OF THE SKY- from Pippin. He sang as Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton which was incredible! All of it was incredible but my favorite was hearing him sing Music Of The Night from Phantom I sadly didn’t get the chance to see him as The Phantom so glad I saw him sing it live.
Norm is a very talented triple threat and last night was a night I will cherish forever. I love ya, Norm!
