Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters.
It is an adorable film for children of all ages. Poor Scrat! He always gets in trouble. The film has some hysterical and touching moments. There is even a bit of razzle dazzle and a couple of songs by theater actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson who is currently on Broadway in Fully Committed. He has an amusing part that had me laughing out loud. This film is a must see if you like animated films. Wanda Sykes is a scene and movie stealer, always. She has many hilarious moments in this movie. You can’t help but adore her voice. I had a blast, pun intended.
Corine Dana Cohen for Broadway Showbiz.
Three stars.
