Before “In The Heights”, before “Hamilton” Lin- Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail created “FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME” Improv mixed with hip hop and a lot of heart. I originally wanted to see it as I adore some of the original cast members James Monroe Iglehart who I interviewed when he was in “Memphis” and Lin when he wrote “In The Heights” and I adore Wayne Brady who killed it in “Kinky Boots” and The Masked Singer but none where in on the night I attended.
I was moved by Tarik Davis who talked about coping with getting Covid 19 twice and how difficult it has been coping. I was very moved by Tarik’s story! Please know Tarik that the theater community cares and please keep up the fight! I hope to interview you. You made me cry and as someone who also has had health issues I was moved.

The audience gives words and they create stories with those words. The cast also have surprise cameo guests which could include James, Daveed Diggs, Christopher Jackson and Wayne Brady! Very exciting! Lin might show up if you’re lucky!
