New York, NY, October 1, 2014 — New York magazine’s 16th annual culinary event, New York Taste, will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 6-9 pm at The Waterfront Building in New York City. The signature event, hosted by New York culinary editor Gillian Duffy will once again feature the city’s most celebrated chefs, mixologists and culinary gems. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to City Harvest to help fight hunger. The tasting event will host world renowned talent including Einat Admony (Balaboosta), Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto), Bryce Shuman and Eamon Rockey (Betony), John Stage (Dinosaur BBQ), Ed McFarland (Ed’s Lobster Bar), Paul Liebrandt (The Elm), Shaun Hergatt (Juni), Michael Citarella (The Monarch Room), Masaharu Morimoto (Morimoto), Joe Ng (Red Farm), and Dale Talde (Talde).
The event will showcase New York’s most delectable and diverse menu offerings from more than 40 participating restaurants. Offerings will include Red Kuri Squash Soup with Parmesan and Smoked Ham Cream (The Elm); Lobster Meatballs (Ed’s Lobster Bar); Potato Wrapped Scallops with Romesco Sauce (The Red Cat); Pretzel Pork and Chive Dumplings (Talde); and Miso Caramel Apples (Park Avenue Autumn).
For the second year, the event will take place at the historical Waterfront building located at 269 Eleventh Avenue in New York City. This year’s event will be sponsored by Bridge Lane Wines, Celebrity Cruises, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, Macau Government Tourist Office, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and Stella Artois.
The event hosts over 1,000 guests, with general admission tickets costing $100. VIP tickets can be purchased for $195, and include admission to a special preview hour (6-7 pm), access to the VIP lounge, and a VIP gift bag filled with a variety of products, including culinary tools. VIP tickets are limited and sold on a first-come first-serve basis.
